The short version

EO's Forum and Moderator training are a membership benefit — there is no per-seat course fee. Training is delivered by certified Forum Trainers (in-chapter or virtual) and backed by a free self-serve LMS library. Our chapter budget is really for logistics, not tuition.

Part 1

Forum Training — for members

The foundation every member completes before being placed in a Forum: how the format works, the protocols (experience-sharing not advice, Gestalt, the 5%), and how to participate effectively.

Forum Training Program (FTP) Budget: logistics only

The official member training, delivered by a certified Forum Trainer. This is the session you run for a new Forum, a Mashup group, or a batch of new members before placement.

Who it's for
New members (mandatory before joining a Forum) and members who want a refresher.
Format
Live session (in-person or virtual), led by a Forum Trainer.
How to request
Forum Scheduling Tool → pick training type + preferred dates → EO confirms on availability. Chapter Manager access
Cost
Included in membership — virtual is free; in-person means covering Forum Trainer travel/honorarium + venue + materials.

Forum Content for Members Free · self-serve

A free on-demand library on the EO LMS — the best "start now while we schedule a trainer" option, and a solid refresher for existing members.

  • Forum Programmes Information — 16 items (Forum for Everyone, Forum Products, Forum Workshop, Industry Forums, Key Executive Forum, SLP Forum, etc.)
  • Forum Tools — 8 items (the working tools/templates that run a Forum meeting)
  • Videos — 5 items

29 presentations in total · available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese & Chinese.

Part 2

Moderator Training — for members

For members ready to lead a Forum as a Moderator: running the meeting, holding the structure, managing time and dynamics, and creating a safe, productive environment. Three ways to get it:

Virtual Moderator Training Free

Recurring, cross-chapter online sessions — the easiest and cheapest route. Members register individually; no chapter logistics required.

In-chapter Moderator Training Budget: logistics only

Same request path as Forum Training — book a Forum Trainer to train a group of our moderators together. Efficient when several members are stepping up at once (which is our situation).

How to request
Forum Scheduling Tool (via Chapter Staff), choose "Moderator Training" as the type.
Cost
Virtual = free; in-person = trainer travel/honorarium + venue.

Regional Moderator Summits Budget: member travel

In-person Moderator Training delivered alongside a regional Moderator Summit — the deepest version, plus strong cross-chapter networking. Our LAC region has hosted these in Playa del Carmen, Rio de Janeiro, and Cali.

Best for 1–2 members you want to invest in as future forum leaders. Main cost is their travel.

Part 3

For you, as Forum Chair

Two things aimed at chairs, not members — worth doing so you can support the training you're arranging.

Forum Chair Training: "Applying Forum Tools to Lead Better Forums" For chairs

An advanced, applied program for chairs responsible for the Forum experience chapter-wide. It's not a re-teach of the member FTP — it's how to use the forum tools to support and troubleshoot forums across the chapter. Register through the Forum Chairs group on OneEO.

Chapter Officer Training (COT) For chairs

Mandatory ~90-minute onboarding for incoming Forum Chairs. If you missed the live session, the recording is posted in the Forum Chairs group.

Part 4

Recommended plan for LAC Bridge

Given several members are asking for both forum and moderator training, and we have a small budget:

Point everyone to the free LMS now

Share the "Forum Content for Members" course so interested members can start immediately while sessions are scheduled.

Batch the Forum Training via Chapter Staff

Have Nash Chalita submit one Forum Training request covering the members who asked — ideally timed around a retreat so a trainer session is efficient.

Send moderators to the free virtual training

Enrol the members stepping up to moderate in the next Virtual Moderator Training (Aug 26, 2026) — zero budget impact.

Invest budget in depth for 1–2 people

Use the chapter budget to bring a Forum Trainer in person for a combined session at a retreat, and/or send 1–2 future leaders to the next LAC Moderator Summit.

How the small budget is best spent

  • $0 — Virtual Forum & Moderator training and the LMS library (membership benefit).
  • Logistics — an in-person Forum Trainer for a batch session: their travel/honorarium, room, refreshments, printed tools.
  • Development — travel for 1–2 members to a regional Moderator Summit for the in-depth experience.

Exact figures (trainer honorarium/travel, summit cost) aren't published on the portal — Chapter Staff and the assigned Forum Trainer confirm them when a session is booked.

A note on cost: EO does not list per-seat prices for Forum or Moderator training because participation is part of membership. "Budget" items in this report refer to logistics (trainer travel/venue) or member travel to a summit — not tuition. Confirm specifics with Chapter Staff before committing.
